Who we are
CedarPost is a mobile app for local churches, developed and operated by Stetline LLC, a United States software company based in Lancaster, California. CedarPost gives a congregation a private member directory and a communication system for its announcements — members-only, invite-code and admin-approval gated, with no public access to any member data.
Stetline LLC is the sole developer and operator of CedarPost. We are not an advertising network, a marketing platform, or a lead-generation service. Each church using CedarPost communicates only with people who have joined that church's own congregation in the app and been approved by its administrators.
Current status: pre-launch. CedarPost has not yet been publicly released. The app is in testing with its first congregation, Valley Bible Church of Lancaster, California, and is distributed to testers through Apple TestFlight. The text-message program described below has not yet sent any messages; we are completing carrier registration before enabling it.
What CedarPost does
Private member directory
A members-only directory for the congregation. Each member controls their own per-field privacy settings — choosing which details (phone, address, birthday) other members can see.
Ministry announcements SMS pending registration
Announcements organized by ministry (youth, worship, outreach, and so on) and church-wide, delivered in-app and by push notification and email. Text-message delivery is planned and strictly opt-in — see the text message program section below.
Urgent alerts
A separate urgent tier for time-critical church-wide notices, with distinct visual treatment in the app. Even urgent alerts respect each member's notification opt-outs.
Volunteer safety-certification tracking
Tracks volunteer safety certifications (background check, mandated-reporter training, and abuse-prevention training, in line with California AB 506) and enforces them: only cleared leaders can post to ministries that serve minors.
Administration tools
Church administrators approve every membership request, manage roles and ministry assignments, and have a full audit log of administrative actions.
Families and households
Household management with parent-managed profiles for children — parents control their children's presence in the app; children have no credentials of their own.
Text message program
Program name: CedarPost church announcement texts. This is an account-notification program. A church sends its own approved members the announcements and urgent notices that congregation has asked to receive — service changes, ministry news, and time-critical messages from the church office. Messages come from the member's own church. There is no marketing, advertising, or promotional content, no third-party content, and no messages from anyone the member has not joined.
Current status: pre-launch. This program has not yet sent any messages. It will begin only after carrier registration is complete.
How a member opts in
Consent is collected only inside the CedarPost mobile app, and only from a member who has already joined a church and been approved by that church's administrators. There is no web form, no purchased list, and no other way for a phone number to enter the program.
The member opens the app and goes to My Profile → Notification Settings. That screen lists each notification channel separately — Push, Email, and Text messages — with an independent toggle for each. The Text messages toggle is off by default. Turning it on is a separate, optional choice made by the member alone: it is not part of creating an account, not bundled with signup, and not a condition of using CedarPost. No church administrator, church staff member, or Stetline LLC employee can enable it on a member's behalf.
Notification Settings as it ships: the Text messages toggle is off by default.
The member turns it on themselves, with the full consent language shown directly beneath the toggle at the moment of consent.
Program disclosures
- Program name: CedarPost church announcement texts, an account-notification program operated by Stetline LLC on behalf of each subscribing church.
- Message frequency varies. Messages are sent only when a church has something to announce, so the number of messages differs from congregation to congregation and from week to week.
- Message and data rates may apply.
- To opt out, reply STOP to any message. Texts end immediately. A member can equally turn the Text messages toggle back off in the app at any time.
- For help, reply HELP to any message, or email support@cedarpost.app.
- Mobile numbers and opt-in status are never shared with or sold to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
- Carrier statement: mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
For the complete opt-in surface, including the join-and-approval steps that precede it, see How SMS Opt-In Works in CedarPost. Our Privacy Policy describes how member data and mobile numbers are handled, and our Terms of Service govern use of the app.
